Transalpinum. From Giorgione and Dürer to Titian and Rubens is an album as unique as the works highlighted in it, originating from the collections of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, the National Museum in Warsaw and the National Museum in Gdańsk. The album illustrates multifarious links between the art of Italy and Northern Europe. The essays by Polish and Austrian art historians introduce the reader into the area of mutual influence and fascination. The masterpieces by outstanding artists, Dürer, Jan van Eyck, Giorgione, Botticelli, Lucas Cranach, Titian, Veronese and Rubens, are dealt with in comprehensive commentaries on the history and meaning of the paintings.

Published in two language versions (Polish and English).
